Terms of Use

1. Agreement and operator

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Furkan Özkan, an independent developer based in Istanbul, Türkiye, operating PocketPeas (“PocketPeas,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By downloading, accessing, purchasing, or using PocketPeas, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old and legally able to agree to these Terms. If the law where you live requires a higher age or parental permission, that requirement applies. A parent or guardian who permits a minor to use PocketPeas is responsible for the minor’s use to the extent allowed by law.

3. What PocketPeas does

PocketPeas helps you manually record expenses, set budgets, review trends, try savings challenges, and use optional reminders, mascots, and widgets. PocketPeas does not connect to bank accounts, hold funds, provide credit, initiate transactions, or execute investments.

The app is intended for personal informational and organizational use. It is not a financial institution, money-transmission service, accounting system, or tax, legal, investment, debt, or financial adviser. Consider qualified professional advice before making important decisions.

4. Limited license

Subject to these Terms and applicable App Store rules, we grant you a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to install and use PocketPeas on Apple-branded devices you own or control, including through permitted Family Sharing or volume-purchase arrangements where Apple allows them.

5. Acceptable use

You may not:

• use PocketPeas unlawfully, fraudulently, or to infringe another person’s rights;
• copy, resell, rent, sublicense, or commercially exploit the app except where law permits;
• reverse engineer, bypass, disable, or interfere with security, purchase, or entitlement controls except where such restriction is prohibited by law;
• introduce malicious code, probe systems, or disrupt the app or its supporting services;
• misrepresent purchase status or attempt to obtain paid features without authorization; or
• use PocketPeas to create a competing product through unauthorized extraction of content or design assets.

6. Your entries and calculation accuracy

You are responsible for the accuracy, completeness, legality, and relevance of information you enter. Results depend on those entries, selected currency, device settings, rounding, dates, categories, and software behavior. PocketPeas may contain errors or estimates and should not be treated as an official financial record, account statement, tax return, or guarantee of savings.

7. Local data and backups

PocketPeas stores your spending records locally on your device and does not provide a PocketPeas account or cloud database. Deleting entries, erasing app data, uninstalling the app, losing the device, changing devices, or restoring a device may permanently remove data. Apple-controlled device backups may preserve some app data, but availability is not guaranteed. You are responsible for protecting your device and maintaining any records you need elsewhere.

8. PocketPeas Pro

PocketPeas may offer free and paid functionality. Pro features may include category budgets, longer-range insights, additional savings challenges, premium mascot extras, and more widget layouts. We may improve, replace, add, or retire features over time, provided that we respect applicable consumer law and do not misrepresent the subscription offered at purchase.

9. Auto-renewing subscriptions

Monthly and yearly Pro subscriptions are sold through Apple In-App Purchase. The exact price, currency, billing period, taxes, and any trial or promotional terms displayed in the App Store purchase sheet at the time you confirm are controlling. Prices may vary by country and may change as permitted by Apple and applicable law.

• Payment is charged to your Apple Account when the purchase is confirmed.
• The subscription renews automatically unless you cancel before the renewal deadline shown by Apple, generally at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
• Apple may charge renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends.
• You can manage or cancel in iOS Settings or the App Store’s subscription settings.
• Deleting PocketPeas does not cancel a subscription.
• Where available, “Restore Purchases” asks Apple and RevenueCat to re-check your entitlement.

10. Billing, refunds, and RevenueCat

Apple is the merchant and payment processor for iOS purchases. Billing questions, refunds, payment-method changes, and purchase disputes are handled under Apple’s rules and applicable law. We cannot access your full payment-card details or directly issue an App Store refund.

RevenueCat is used to validate transactions and manage Pro entitlement status. If entitlement information is delayed or temporarily unavailable, purchase restoration or access may require an internet connection and successful communication with Apple and RevenueCat.

11. Notifications and widgets

Reminders and widgets are optional conveniences and may be delayed, suppressed, inaccurate, or unavailable because of iOS settings, device state, software updates, or other factors. A widget or notification may display spending-related information where others can see it. Do not rely on PocketPeas alerts for deadlines, overdrafts, bills, taxes, emergencies, or other critical events.

12. Third-party services

Apple, RevenueCat, hosting, email, and linked websites are operated by third parties under their own terms and privacy practices. We are not responsible for third-party services, outages, policies, content, or decisions, except to the extent responsibility cannot lawfully be excluded.

13. Intellectual property

PocketPeas, including its software, interface, text, illustrations, mascots, icons, graphics, branding, and original content, is owned by or licensed to us and protected by applicable laws. These Terms grant a right to use the app, not ownership of the app or its content. Apple and other third-party marks remain the property of their respective owners.

14. Feedback

If you voluntarily provide ideas or suggestions, you grant us a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free right to use them without restriction or compensation, while you retain ownership of any rights you may have. Do not submit confidential information as feedback.

15. Updates and availability

We may release fixes, improvements, or changes and may require a supported version of iOS. PocketPeas or some features may be interrupted, changed, suspended, or discontinued. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, compatibility with every device, or perpetual availability of a particular feature. We will comply with mandatory obligations that apply to paid digital services.

16. Suspension and termination

You may stop using PocketPeas at any time; subscription cancellation must still be completed through Apple. We may suspend or terminate access to the extent reasonably necessary for a material breach, fraud, security risk, legal requirement, or discontinuation of the service. Sections intended by their nature to survive termination—including payment obligations, intellectual property, disclaimers, liability limits, and disputes—will survive.

17. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, PocketPeas is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, non-infringement, uninterrupted availability, or results. We do not guarantee that using the app will reduce spending, improve finances, or produce any particular outcome.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions. In those jurisdictions, the exclusions apply only to the maximum extent permitted. Mandatory consumer guarantees remain intact.

18. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages; loss of data, profits, savings, goodwill, or opportunity; or decisions made using PocketPeas. Our aggregate liability arising from PocketPeas will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid for PocketPeas during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim or USD 50.

This section does not limit liability that cannot legally be limited, including where applicable liability for fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or mandatory consumer rights.

19. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Türkiye, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, except that mandatory consumer protections of your country or region continue to apply. Consumers may bring a claim before any court, tribunal, consumer authority, or dispute body that has mandatory jurisdiction where they live. If no mandatory local forum applies, courts in Istanbul, Türkiye will have jurisdiction.

Before filing a claim, you are encouraged—but not required where law says otherwise—to email us with a brief description so we can try to resolve the issue informally.

20. Apple-specific terms

You acknowledge that these Terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for PocketPeas or its content, maintenance, support, warranties, product claims, or legal compliance except as required by law. Your use must follow the App Store Usage Rules. If the app fails to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple may refund the purchase price, if any, as provided by its rules. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce the Apple-specific provisions after your acceptance.

Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement may also apply. These Terms supplement, and do not replace, mandatory App Store terms.

21. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes in PocketPeas, providers, law, security, or business practices. The “Last updated” date will change. Where required, we will provide additional notice or seek consent. Continuing to use PocketPeas after an effective update means you accept the revised Terms, to the extent permitted by law.

22. General

If part of these Terms is unenforceable, it will be limited or removed only to the minimum extent necessary and the rest will remain effective. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our written consent; we may assign them in connection with a lawful transfer of PocketPeas, subject to applicable consumer law. These Terms, the Privacy Policy, applicable App Store terms, and purchase disclosures form the agreement concerning PocketPeas.
