Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

PocketPeas is a personal spending and budgeting application operated by Furkan Özkan, an independent developer based in Istanbul, Türkiye. In this policy, “PocketPeas,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to that operator. Questions or privacy requests may be sent to infopocketpeas@gmail.com.

2. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to the PocketPeas iOS application, its widgets and local notifications, this legal website, and support communications. It does not replace the privacy policies of Apple, RevenueCat, or websites that you choose to visit.

3. Information stored on your device

You may enter expense amounts, currencies, dates, categories, merchant names, notes, payment labels, budgets, goals, challenges, mascot choices, and app preferences. The app also calculates totals, trends, streaks, and insights from those entries. This information is stored locally on your device and is not uploaded to a PocketPeas server.

PocketPeas does not request online-banking credentials, connect to bank accounts, initiate payments, or collect full payment-card numbers. You decide what information to enter.

4. Subscription and purchase information

Purchases are processed by Apple through your App Store account. PocketPeas does not receive your full card number or Apple ID password. RevenueCat is used to validate purchases and determine whether Pro features should be available.

For that purpose, Apple and RevenueCat may process limited purchase and technical data, such as a pseudonymous app user identifier, product identifier, storefront, transaction or receipt-validation information, purchase, renewal, expiration, cancellation and refund status, and technical app or device information needed to provide and troubleshoot entitlements. This information does not include the expense records you type into PocketPeas.

5. Support communications

If you email us, we receive the address you use and the content and attachments you send. Please do not include financial account passwords, full card numbers, government IDs, or other information that is not needed to answer your question.

6. This website

This legal website does not use advertising cookies or analytics trackers. Like most web hosting services, its infrastructure may temporarily process standard request and security logs, such as IP address, browser type, requested page, date and time, and error or abuse signals. These logs are used only to deliver and secure the site.

7. Notifications and widgets

If you enable reminders, iOS controls the permission and PocketPeas schedules relevant notifications on your device. Widgets may display spending information on your Home Screen, where it could be visible to people who can see or access your device. You can change these settings in PocketPeas or iOS at any time.

8. Why limited information is processed

Where applicable, information is processed to:

• provide, maintain, secure, and troubleshoot the app and legal website;
• validate purchases, restore purchases, and unlock Pro features;
• respond to support, privacy, and legal requests;
• prevent fraud, abuse, or security incidents; and
• comply with applicable law and enforce our Terms of Use.

Depending on your location, the legal basis may be performance of a contract, legitimate interests in operating and securing the service, compliance with law, or consent where required.

9. When information may be disclosed

Limited information may be disclosed only as reasonably necessary to:

• Apple, for App Store distribution, payments, refunds, and account management;
• RevenueCat, for subscription validation and entitlement management;
• website and email infrastructure providers, for delivery, security, and support;
• professional advisers, when necessary and subject to appropriate duties; or
• authorities or other parties when required by law or necessary to protect rights and safety.

We do not sell or rent personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, targeted advertising, credit scoring, or data-broker activities.

10. Retention and deletion

Locally stored spending data remains on your device until you delete it in the app, erase the app’s data, or uninstall the app. Copies may remain in device backups that you control through Apple until those backups are deleted or expire.

Apple and RevenueCat retain purchase records according to their own policies and legal obligations. Support messages are normally kept only as long as needed to resolve and document the request, generally no longer than 24 months unless a longer period is required for security, legal, or dispute purposes. Website security logs are retained for a limited operational period by the hosting provider.

11. Security

We use reasonable organizational and technical safeguards appropriate to the limited data we handle. No device, transmission, or storage method can be guaranteed completely secure. Protect your device with a passcode, keep iOS updated, and avoid including sensitive secrets in spending notes or support emails.

12. International processing

Apple, RevenueCat, and website or email infrastructure may process limited information in countries other than yours. Their applicable contracts, safeguards, and privacy policies govern those transfers. Mandatory rights under your local law remain unaffected.

13. Your choices and rights

You can:

• review, edit, or delete spending records directly in PocketPeas;
• remove local app data by using available controls or uninstalling the app;
• change notification and widget settings in PocketPeas or iOS;
• manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple App Store settings; and
• contact us to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or portability where applicable.

Because spending records are stored only on your device, we generally cannot retrieve, view, export, correct, or delete them for you. To protect users, we may need to verify a request before acting on information that we do control.

14. Regional privacy rights

Depending on where you live, laws such as the GDPR, UK GDPR, California privacy laws, or Türkiye’s Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK) may provide additional rights. These can include the right to know what information is processed, request a copy or correction, request deletion or restriction, object to certain processing, withdraw consent, and complain to a competent data-protection authority. We will honor applicable rights and will not discriminate against you for exercising them.

PocketPeas does not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that require a right to limit under California law, and does not sell or share personal information as those terms are commonly defined in California privacy law.

15. Children

PocketPeas is not directed to children under 13. If local law requires a higher minimum age for a child to consent to data processing or enter these Terms, a parent or legal guardian must provide any required permission. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us so we can review and take appropriate action.

16. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as PocketPeas, its service providers, or applicable law changes. The “Last updated” date will be revised. If a change is material, we may provide additional notice in the app or by another reasonable method.
